Retro 101

Remember when games were fun?

xbla.jpgMultiplayer pirate game Age of Booty is this week release for 800 points. Of much more interest is that N+ is getting another level pack. Even better is that the new levels are completely free.

It seems the seminal Capcom 2D fighter has been spotted on XBLA development area partner net. We predict it will lag and be near unplayable on the 360 pad, but we have been wrong on occasion.

xbla.jpgJust one release today. We can hardly contain our apathy as MLB Stickball comes to Live Arcade for 800 points. At least we still have Duke Nukem to finish.

The excellent third installment in the six part series of books looking at just about every Spectrum game is out now. It contains over 370 reviews and comes in a rather large 470 pages. You can get your copy now from Lulu.com.

For more information head on over to the Spectrum Games Bible website.

vc.jpgTwo Megadrive games arrive today. Platform legend Earth Worm Jim is joined by Shining Force 2. Both are well worth checking out if you have 800 points spare.

xbla.jpgTwo releases today. The excellent Mega Man 9 and long awaited War World are the games. Both will set you back 800 points. Good luck to anyone taking on Mega Man with the 360 pad.

xbla.jpgThe mighty Duke touches down this wednesday. Yes, Duke Nukem 3D is hitting live for the bargain price of 800 points. We just hope all the new features actually work.

vc.jpgThree releases this week. The SMS version of Sonic is joined by Jump Man and Boulder Dash on the C64. 8-bit goodness all round, though we would have prefered NES Boulder Dash.
